First Solo Flight - 7/2/2009
Technically my first flying lesson occurred on 5/29/2008. It was a short .7 hrs on the hobbs meter. After that I had a few life events I needed to get in order and I started my training in earnest on 11/7/2008. Over the next 18 months or so (which should have been 4 or 5 - hey, I'm slow) there were some fits and starts with airplane maintenance and instructor availability which added to the delay. Over the 18 months I flew in 3 or 4 different aircraft. The airplane in these pictures is an Evektor SportStar. Unfortunately the plane is no longer as it suffered a total loss on 6/14/2012 (aviation-safety.net/wikibase/146324) from another student/instructor - fortunately everyone is o.k. Over my training time I flew the Evektor, a Remos and a Gobosh. Thanks to my CFI Dennis Moss for getting me to this point.
